Frequently asked questions about our dog supplements
Find practical advice on choosing and using ImproWin and DogVitality. For questions about your dog, please use our contact form.
Which product should I choose?
Choose according to your dog’s needs. Digestive powders are added to daily food: choose DogVitality in 30 g or 100 g packs, or ImproWin in a 1.2 kg pack. ImproWin is also available as 70 tablets. The liquid ImproWin fish-oil product provides nutritional support for skin and coat. DogVitality EPA capsules provide concentrated fish oil for nutritional support of joints and mobility, in packs of 120 or 250 capsules. See our product overview to compare the options.
What is the difference between the powder and the liquid product?
The powder combines salts of organic acids and B vitamins. The liquid product also contains fish oil. Choose the product that suits your dog and follow the instructions on its packaging.
How do I give the supplement?
Follow the instructions and the amount indicated for your dog’s weight on the packaging. Mix the powder or liquid into your dog’s usual food and make sure the whole portion is eaten.
Can I combine supplements?
Consider the total amount supplied by food and supplements before combining products, particularly when more than one contains fish oil. Contact us or your veterinarian if you need help assessing a combination.
How soon might I notice a difference?
This depends on the dog, the product and the starting point. Make the supplement part of a consistent feeding routine, use it as directed and monitor changes over time.
Can a dog react to a supplement?
Dogs can respond differently to foods and supplements. Stop using the product and consult your veterinarian if new symptoms appear or existing symptoms worsen after starting it.
What if my dog takes medication, is pregnant or is a puppy?
Discuss suitability and amounts with the veterinarian who knows your dog. This also applies to dogs with a medical condition or a prescribed diet.
Can I use these supplements when my dog has digestive problems?
These products are complementary feeds. Recurrent digestive problems should be assessed by a veterinarian. Seek prompt veterinary advice for bloody diarrhoea, repeated vomiting, pain or marked lethargy, and seek advice early for puppies.
How should I store the products?
Follow the storage instructions and shelf-life information on the packaging, including instructions after opening. Close the lid or cap securely after use.
